Meet the Teacher
Welcome back! We are excited to have you here as a member of our 4th grade learning community at Cordes Elementary School. My name is Mrs. Hart and I am happy to be welcoming students back for instruction after what was hopefully a relaxing and adventurous summer break. We are about to embark on an exciting year full of many positive learning experiences.
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself since I am fairly new to the Cordes community. I am starting my 20th year of service as an educator and my teaching experiences span across many different grade levels ranging from 3rd through 6th. I personally strive to be a lifelong learner and have earned my master’s degree in curriculum development as well as my Preliminary Administrative Credential.
In regards to my goals for student learning this year, I hope to help students develop the confidence to be a self-empowered learner. We will focus on maintaining a positive mindset as we work together to create a learning environment that is conducive to learning. Students will be provided with learning opportunities that encourage them to problem solve while justifying their answers with clear evidence. I am eager to see all of my students continue to grow and glow academically and socially throughout this academic year.
Please know that I am here to support all of my students and would like to encourage you to keep in contact with me if you have any questions or concerns. I work closely with my students to develop clarity about their learning intentions and return all work to students in a timely manner to ensure that they can monitor their own progress. I am looking forward to this year of learning and will share more about our curriculum and my expectations during our Back to School Night event.
